Estrella Mountain Community College is a Hispanic Serving Institution and is part of the Maricopa Community College District of Arizona, one of the oldest districts in Arizona. Estrella Mountain Community College opened in 1992 and serves about 15,000 students annually.

Turtle Mountain Community College

Turtle Mountain Community College was established in 1977, and today, serves around 650 students. The mission of the college is to promote autonomy and direct community action within their students and faculty.
