About Converse College
Converse College was founded in 1889, and today has a student population of 1,400. They are one of the first 15 women’s colleges founded in the United States. They were voted in the “Top Ten Best Value” Colleges by U.S. News and World Report. They emphasize independent thinking and exploration through their “Experiential Learning” program in which all students gain independent experience through a project, internship, or travel.
